The Toyota Foundation Programs.
The Toyota Foundation, a private, nonprofit, grant-making organization dedicated to the goals of realizing greater human fulfillment and contributing to the development of a human-oriented society, was endowed on October 1974 by the Toyota Motor Corporation to commemorate its fortieth anniversary of automobile production.
Eligible Activities
In general grants are awarded to individuals or to individuals on behalf of a group, and not to organizations. Activities supported may include individual or group research projects, conferences or public seminars, publications, or other modalities. Each program has its own regulations and limitations, however. Foundation funds may not be used for such activities as political lobbying, religious proselytizing, establishing endowment funds, paying for institutional overhead costs, or routinely acquiring museum artifacts or library materials.
