Queensland University of Technology - China Scholarship Council Award
QUT and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) are jointly awarding postgraduate scholarships to Chinese students who intend to undertake a postgraduate research degree at QUT. QUT and CSC will jointly award postgraduate scholarships to students from PR China, who intend to read for a postgraduate research degree at QUT. Candidates who will undertake Doctoral programs are prioritized and the majority of scholarships will be awarded to PhD students only. Master?s scholarships will only support one-year Master by research programs at QUT. If the selected Chinese students successfully complete the requirements of the designated program and defend their dissertation, they will be conferred degrees by QUT.

Energy Resources, Water and Minerals, Environment, Agriculture, Manufacturing Industry, Transport, Information Industry(included digital media), Population and Health, Technological Study on urbanization and city development, Public Security (includes public health), National Defence.
Eligibility
1) Candidates will be citizens and permanent residents of the People?s Republic of China at the time of application;
2) Candidates must be resident in China and not be currently working or studying abroad;
3) Successful candidates must return to China upon completion of their studies and/or research;
4) Candidates must hold an unconditional offer of admission to pursue a postgraduate research degree at QUT. They must therefore fulfill the relevant academic entry requirements, including a high level of English language proficiency. IELTS (Academic) with an overall result of 6.5 and no band less then 6.0 is required for direct entry to QUT degree programs;
5) Candidates should be intending to pursue a postgraduate research degree in one of the priority academic areas identified by QUT and CSC. However, applicants to other study/research areas may also be considered. The support academic areas are also subject to the availability of relevant programs of study at QUT as published at http://www.qut.edu.au/research/institutes/;
6) Candidates should satisfy the selection criteria set out by CSC by completing the CSC Application Form and the CSC Employer Reference Form at http://apply.csc.edu.cn/ and meeting any other CSC conditions.
