University of Glasgow - PhD Studentship (CASE award)
Integrated circuit design and analysis: Interconnect variability Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. A joint EPSRC/industry-funded PhD studentship is available in the area of integrated circuit design and analysis.
Overview
The project is open to applicants with a good honours undergraduate degree (at least 2(i)) or a Masters degree in electronic engineering or a cognate subject. Applicants should be highly motivated with an interest in working on an important and interesting area of research that is directly relevant to the semiconductor industry. The successful candidate will be supported by an EPSRC PhD Studentship plus a CASE award from Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe, which will pay fees and an annual stipend of up to £14, 300 (for 2006-7). The starting date for the project is November 2006 or as soon as possible thereafter. Under the conditions of the award, candidates must have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least three years (but need not necessarily be UK citizens).
